- Who is conducting the study?
- Bioness is conducting this research study in centers throughout the United States.
- How long is the study?
- The study has between 19-26 visits (depending on the group), which is spread across approximately 42 weeks. Participants receive Physical Therapy during the study to help them use either the L300 or an AFO. Most of the visits are with Physical Therapists who will be testing to see how participants walk with the L300. The testing may last between 2-4 hours a visit.
- What are the costs?
- There are no costs to participants or their insurance company for participating in the study (including office visits and the device and/or AFO).
- What are the rights as a participant in the study?
- Participation in this study is voluntary and one may choose not to take part or to leave the study at anytime.
- Who is eligible to participate?

Individuals may be eligible to participate if they:
- Have had a Stroke more than 3 months ago
- Are currently using an AFO or need one
- Are 18 years or over
- Have the ability to walk at least 33 feet safely with some assistance
- Do not have any metal implants
- Are medically stable
- Meet the requirements for participation
- What are the risks?
- By following the physical therapy and the directions given to you on how to use the L300, there is minimal risk to participating in the study.
